The mission of the infrastructure team in PayPal China is to bring a rich set of PayPal services to Kubernetes! In this journey, it redefines how to integrate and how to deploy, how to bring up and how to scale, how to monitor and how to debug for PayPal services.

Responsibilities:

1) Design and develop tools, services and mechanisms used to build, deploy, scale and monitor applications in Kubernetes

2) Help other teams architect their application to be Kubernetes-native applications with best practices and sound designs aligning from the perspective of both Kubernetes and PayPal application compliance

3) Evaluate open source technologies to find the best fit for PayPal's needs, and make contributions to the community accordingly

4) Work with the Application Development and Product Management teams to scale and secure their services

Qualifications/Requirements:

1) 7+ years of experience in the field of software development

2) Good understanding of architecture of Docker and Kubernetes, e.g., linux virtualization, CRI/CNI/CSI, Kubernetes best practices and design principles 

3) 3+ years of expierience in the development and maintainance of Kubernetes in production, familiar with Kubernetes API and client libraries

4) Good coding, debugging, troubleshooting skills and habits are required

5) Good understanding of distributed systems, data-structures and algorithms

6) Experience of service goverance and high availability/performance system will be a big bonus

7) Golang and Python will be a bonus
