The BU Cloud Engineering team within the Site Reliability and Cloud Engineering Organization enables Google Cloud infrastructure and platform for PayPal business units to build, test, deploy, schedule, run, and manage their applications. We are looking for Engineers who can design and develop solutions that enable PayPal business units to use Google Cloud.
Under this position, you will:
• Create and maintain command-line tools that will help automate processes for both human and systems
• Help create and support tools that improve the Provision and Deployment Pipeline of infrastructure and products
• Define, re-engineer, and document processes related to tools that you write and Open Source tools the organization uses
• Work as an advisor and mentor to other areas of the organization on the tools and processes the team develops
• Write and present Proof of Concepts and Request for Comment documents on the possible use and future integration of new technologies into the organization's workflow
• Help enforce the vision to manage EVERYTHING as code
• Help other infrastructure teams to embrace the concepts and workflow related to Test Driven Development
