PayPal is looking for a Mobile UX Designer with an emphasis on visual design to join our Consumer team and help us redefine our native and web products. The ideal candidate should show great potential with visual and interaction design skills and a passion for crafting world class experience design solutions.


  • Create final design visuals and assets (Sketch).
  • Understanding complex design interactions and flows.
  • Designing experiences for application-specific contexts: UI controls, iconography, device resolution, typography, color, layout, etc.
  • Responsive design, adaptive layout.
  • Proficiency with medium to high-definition prototyping tools to fine-tune interactions and transitions.
  • Designing within the confines of a design language and patterns while knowing how to innovate within and evolve them.
  • Being comfortable (and geek out on) solving both tactical and blue-sky design problems.
  • The ability to work with and help influence engineering teams and product managers to champion the best experiences for our customers.
  • Participating in design ideation sessions.
  • Working in Lean UX environments.
  • Participating in and learning from usability testing.
  • A growing understanding of accessibility standards.


  • Candidates with 5+ years of UX experience are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor or Master Degree in the study of design including one of the following; Design, Information Architecture, Human Factors or equivalent project/portfolio experience.

  • Love color, typography and sketching.

  • Passionate about creating and evolving design systems that can work across a number of products in a number of form factors.

  • Get excited by ways to push both native and web experiences into new territories.

  • Are starting to think 3 dimensionally about how an experience transforms through a flow with motion and responds to gestures.

  • Are at your best in collaborative team environment, have strong communication skills and partner well with others.

  • Can work closely with product editors, engineers, and the rest of the team to create amazing experiences for our customers.

  • Are able to clearly articulate your design concepts to internal cross-functional teams and leadership.

  • Have a positive and open attitude toward feedback and iterating your ideas, and understand that great design involves trial and error.
