The Global Testing Team (GTT) is seeking Manager, Business Intelligence to support the Testing Program within the Second Line of Defense (SLOD). The Manager will be responsible for playing a key role in establishing and executing a vision for the use and delivery of analytics across technology platforms in order to provide solutions to the GTT and key stakeholders. This role requires both effective management and prioritization skills, focusing on the strategic execution of the Testing Program as a whole.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the GTT and other PayPal data teams to obtain end-user needs for testing data.
  • Work closely with other PayPal data teams in order to identify opportunities for enhanced data interdependencies and efficiencies for the GTT. 
  • Liaison with SLOD Leaders to continuously improve, streamline, and automate testing design, production, delivery, documentation and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Create innovative reporting solutions that provide insight into business performance, trends, improvement opportunities and root cause. 
  • Enable business process and control optimization by delivering critical insight to business performance.

  • Understanding of testing design, management and execution.

  • Must display a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity, teamwork, and customer service.

    Experience:

  • Five years’ experience using business intelligence reporting tools to provide business insights.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, SQL Server experience
  • Database query and reporting – T-SQL
  • Familiarity with RDBMS(MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle), NoSQL, NewSQL, Hadoop, AWS
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools sets – Tableau, PowerBI, SSRS, Microstategy Business Objects, etc.
  • Working knowledge of data architecture, database design, data modeling and data warehousing

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or related discipline.
