The Brazilian Merchant Marketing Manager will develop strategy and drive execution of integrated campaigns across sales team. As part of the merchant marketing team, you will play a central role planning and executing Sales Program Campaigns, leveraging Sales Collateral Materials, orchestrate end to end marketing strategy for merchants and campaign launches. In addition, this manager will play an integral role for key product announcement and launches. This person has experience across multiple marketing communications disciplines and can toggle seamlessly between the importance of the PayPal brand values and our product features.

The Brazilian Merchant Marketing Manager will develop strategy and drive execution of integrated marketing campaigns and programs. This includes:

  • Orchestrate end-to-end strategy and execution of B2B / Trade Marketing Programs aimed to accelerate hunting and farming sales efforts in scale. E.g: Relationship Program for managed accounts, E-commerce Platforms Incentive Program, B2B Thought Leadership Program and Inbound Content Marketing Program.
  • Develop customer facing communication and content assets articulating and providing supporting evidence of relevant and differentiated value props: map commercial requirements, brief agency, provide feedback, review content and get approval for several Sales Collateral and merchant facing new products introduction assets.
  • Support the development of videos how to, testimonials etc.
  • Support the commercial team on co-marketing campaigns and seek new ways to increase PayPal´s share of checkout.

This is a full time position at PayPal and we are looking to fill it with a candidate with excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, flexibility and project management skills. This person has experience across multiple marketing communications disciplines and can toggle seamlessly between the importance of the PayPal brand values and our product features. In this position, you will work especially close to the Sales team, planning and executing campaigns, attending customer meetings and supporting commercial daily activities.  You will also collaborate with the planning area, product marketing managers and the LATAM marketing teams to deliver and coordinate merchant marketing initiatives, propose ideas for disruptive growth in merchant acquisition, support the planning process, as well as report programs and campaign results.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a strategic partner. Moreover this person has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously at the service of the Brazil sales teams. He/she will need to be able to provide new incentives tests and be able to structure clear hypotheses to be tested and scaled up.


This position will report to the Merchant Marketing Manager (Sr) and will be an individual contributor for the foreseeable future.

This person will be based in Sao Paulo and might require occasional international travel.


Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute merchant campaigns and programs focusing on growing our share of checkout on our merchant’s websites.
  • Develop and deliver effective internal briefs to cross-disciplinary agencies, ensuring plans leverage the brand and value proposition, and are tied to business objectives.
  • Design and implement go-to-market plans for merchant facing new products introductions including: launch and communication plan, website update and content assets creation.
  • Deliver campaigns results aligned with projects KPIs.
  • Ensure we have a consistent approach towards how we are tracking and reporting initiatives results of our merchant marketing programs, acting as an ambassador with key stakeholders in the company.
  • Work with the regional marketing owners teams to best leverage content and campaigns and ensure consistent end-to-end customer experience. 
  • Work with the brand and creative services agencies and partners to give input on positioning, messaging, and communication campaigns.
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent, in Marketing, Business Administration, or closely related field and 7-10 years of experience in the job offered.
  • Experience preferably in eCommerce, technology or finance-payments industry companies.
  • Demonstrated marketing mix strategy experience across brand and digital marketing, trade marketing, strategic partnerships, B2B marketing long-term programs. E.g, incentive and loyalty programs.
  • Strong project management skills to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Highly effective communicator, who interacts with clarity and purpose, and who has experience interacting at all levels of organization and customers.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, well versed in channel, e-commerce and digital marketing metrics.
  • Inspirational manager, who possesses a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Process driven individual who has effectively managed and executed complex, multi-layer work streams in a matrix organization.
  • Results-driven.
  • Agency management experience is a plus.
  • Fluent spoken and written abilities in Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fluid environment. Results-driven.
