The Merchant Health Outreach Specialist is a fundamental component of the PayPal Merchant Services Organization. As a Merchant Health Outreach Specialist your core responsibility will be around Research, Development and Retention outreach campaigns within the Merchant Operations segment. The objective of this role is to contact a specific group of merchants in an effort to profile their business, protect PayPal revenue & prevent churn, execute opportunities to cross sell or up sell, gather feedback on pain points, and deliver an educational message on Risk & Compliance Policy or new PayPal products. The Merchant Health Outreach Specialist is responsible for providing primary outbound telephone and email support to merchants within the Merchant Operations segment or from a target list supplied by our Program Management Organisation. The Merchant Health Outreach Specialist will be required to have a strong knowledge of PayPal products and tools in order to provide consultative advice to customers during specific outreach programs. A Merchant Health Outreach Specialist must also be capable of supporting and troubleshooting PayPal Product issues as well as provide information and support regarding PayPal risk & compliance policies, practices and assist in determining resolution for customers. The position is expected to assist in the acquisition of supplemental information from the merchant that will enable us to profile their business to identify opportunities and enable appropriate Risk & Compliance management.

Specific Duties:

  • Deliver on Outbound campaign objectives within the agreed deadlines
  • Provide high volume outbound calls/outbound emails on a daily and consistent basis
  • Document all interactions correctly in CRM tools to ensure data integrity is maintained at all times
  • Provide qualitative updates on Merchant pain points and product optimisations
  • Identify growth opportunities throughout Merchant interactions in order to lead pass or convert them to opportunities
  • Design & execute treatment plans in order to prevent churn & decline and enable future growth
  • Provide consultative advice on new products or features that would benefit the Merchants through Up sell or Outreach campaigns
  • Engage with merchants on new products during pilot phase in order to gather feedback
  • Ensure that new clients are familiar with PayPal procedures and processes that will impact their ability to manage their on-line businesses.
  • Assist the merchant in the selection of the correct PayPal product for his business needs.
  • Responsible for attending ongoing training and developing knowledge in all areas of the department as well as industry knowledge relating to small businesses, risk management and on-line business practices

Qualifications/Education:

  • Min. Leaving Certificate or equivalent required
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 2+ years relevant experience required
  • Min 18 months B2B sales experience, ideally within the Financial Services or Digital Sales space
