We are seeking a Merchant Account Management - Manager to build, develop, and lead a team of Account Managers & Enterprise Account Managers whose responsibility it is to grow the PayPal business for our SMB & Large Enterprise Merchant base in CEMEA. The position is based in Dublin and is dedicated to Merchants in Benelux, Ireland & Nordics.

A typical day for the Merchant Account Management - Manager will include:

  • Managing a team of account managers/enterprise account managers, responsible for one or more verticals.
  • Acting as a focal point for specific region(s) within PayPal Merchant Operations with strong market understanding, which includes current market opportunities, risks and challenges. Communicating effectively of these market trends as a thought leader.
  • Monitoring of PayPal’s business against targets and resolution of issues that may arise.

  • You are a role model for your team. You use your in-depth industry knowledge and merchant insights to position yourself as an expert in e-commerce and PayPal solutions, and demonstrate your ability for the management of merchant relationships and negotiation skills.
  • You have developed your team into a high performing team that meets or exceeds performance and revenue goals.
  • You have engaged and developed your direct reports by fostering an open collaborative environment where best practices are shared.
  • You conduct regular business reviews in conjunction with your account managers with top merchants to review performance and identifying new areas of opportunity.
  • You know and support company and departmental procedures; you regularly review and ensure that the Account Managers follow procedures, process flows and guidelines.
  • You establish relationships and engage with other people managers and key stakeholders in the development of new processes, products, and procedures through attendance at meetings and communication with management and other business units.
  • You participate in Account Manager Selection, internal talent movement, training needs assessment and closure of knowledge gaps. You support Account Manager Development initiatives.
  • You review, communicate and coach to daily performance, quality, behaviour and attendance standards at the individual and team level.

  • You have a proven track record of driving for results, meeting or exceeding sales revenue goals, productivity metrics and merchant satisfaction goals.

  • You are fluent in English and knowledge of Dutch would be a plus.
  • You show strong leadership skills, combined with proven track record of holding teams accountable for end results.
