As a member of the Consumer Program Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing programs that support and advance PayPal’s Social Innovation agenda. You will be tasked with engaging consumers through relevant, integrated, data-driven cause marketing programs that drive consumer awareness, activation, engagement, and retention. You will execute scaled social impact campaigns that have one integrated voice across multiple channels and teams, and then create marketing playbooks for global localization. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceive and drive execution of marketing programs in support of Social Innovation strategies, plans and priorities, with specific focus on disaster response fundraising, seasonal social impact campaigns, and Cause Product launches.
  • Lead the creative development of campaign strategy, partnering with the internal creative team and agencies, as well as analytics and research teams. This includes developing positioning and message design, segmentation strategy, creative theme and consumer experience.
  • Lead the execution of Global Disaster Fundraising Plan; maintain and update plan as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret consumer engagement data in order to evaluate the effectiveness of messaging and campaigns.
  • Proactively research and identify opportunities to further drive customer engagement campaigns and improve marketing efficiencies.
  • Aid in the execution marketing programs to drive growth across consumer marketing channels including PayPal websites, email, paid search and display, events, partnerships, social media and more.
  • Develop playbooks for global localization of successful US programs.
  • Partner with product teams to optimize site messaging, product enhancements to deepen customer engagement.
  • Stay abreast on competitor activities and industry developments to inform the business. 

REQUIRED SKILL SET

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, in best-in-class consumer or financial services brand
    • 5+ years of progressive digital marketing experience required; managing and executing multi-channel marketing (email, social, digital, out of home, web)
    • 5+ years of demonstrating strong project management skills including: conceptualization; analysis; driving alignment; planning resources; managing milestones and objectives and be responsible for overall project, content or campaign success
    • 3+ years in PR and or Communication - CSR programming a plus
  • BA/BS accredited college or university in Marketing, Mass Communications or related discipline; Master’s Degree Preferred
  • Understand customer segmentation and have proven successes in improving acquisition retention and activation of customers.
  • Ability to review metrics on an on-going basis, analyze, draw conclusions and recommend immediate action.
  • Ability to strike a balance between strategic thinking and hands on execution.
  • An “idea person” who generates concepts and has the ability to execute through others.
  • Understanding of the creative process. Experience in constructing strategy and creative briefs, providing feedback and delivering engaging creative with compelling stories.
  • High energy, maturity and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.
  • Champion of customer-centric marketing; passion in leveraging data to achieve business outcomes. 
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
