As a Marketing Manager, you will work hand in hand with cross-functional business partners, merchant partners & creative partners (agency & internal). You will be responsible for developing and managing marketing partnerships with PayPal & Venmo’s premiere Retail Marketing Partners to amplify and drive adoption of our in-store product solutions.

  • Responsibilities

  • Negotiates marketing terms upstream in partnership with Sales in order to influence & secure partner marketing commitments, channel access, etc. as is aligned with PayPal & Venmo marketing strategy & priorities. 
  • Identifies & develops partner marketing solutions for hero merchants aligned with priorities of Sales, Product, Consumer Marketing, PMM and Leadership.
  • Serves as primary interface for In-Store merchants across all Retail verticals (Convenience, Grocery, Mass Retail, QSR, etc) showcasing the value and marketing excellence PayPal & Venmo can add to the partnership. 
  • Works in partnership with Sales, Sales Enablement and Product to create PayPal & Venmo success programs with our strategic partners (i.e. in-store placement impact, case studies & testimonials, test & learn growth programs, etc.) ultimately enhancing PayPal & Venmo value prop to partners across the board. 
  • Assists in negotiation with partners to participate, engage and leverage PayPal & Venmo programs and products beyond In-Store (i.e. Employee Incentive, Loyalty, Referral, etc.).

  • Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in external-facing Marketing roles or equivalent
  • Experience Partner Marketing, Consumer Marketing and/or Business Development
  • Strong background managing consumer promotions, consumer campaigns
  • Experience in Employee Engagement & Training a plus
  • Payments, Fintech and/or Retail industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Key offices are in San Jose, San Francisco, Chicago and New York; remote candidates may also apply
