Role overview: The Marketing Manager, Credit will play a key role in the go-to-market strategy, as well as driving the acquisition strategy and execution of innovative campaigns to win new consumers for PayPal’s new credit product.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the cross-functional project team and external agencies to execute on the go-to-market strategy by managing customer research, brand development and the launch marketing campaign
  • Develop marketing campaigns to grow the active credit customer base and meet business, customer and brand performance targets
  • Deliver innovative and impactful creative marketing which is aligned to the PayPal brand
  • Track, analyze and optimize ongoing campaigns to improve marketing performance
  • Partner with Marketing Operations to define the marketing technology requirements and best practices for the program
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to integrate credit throughout core programs
  • Drive a customer-led, insights focused approach to intelligently use data in decision making
  • Evaluate customer feedback, research, market conditions and competitor data
  • Partner with regional and global counterparts to share learnings and leverage best practice approaches for credit marketing
  • Be part of a marketing team that is famous for identifying, creating and delivering growth and renowned for executional excellence
  • Be a passionate “voice of the customer” in the business

Work experience, skills and requirements:

  • Specialist CRM or brand marketer with 7+ years’ experience, ideally with B2C focus (highly relevant backgrounds include financial services, telco, payments, tech, eCommerce)
  • Strong experience in managing end-to-end marketing programs across the customer lifecycle to deliver to business targets, with a particular focus on cross-selling to an existing customer base
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative, creative and impactful large scale marketing campaigns
  • Excellent at managing agencies and cultivating effective working relationships
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional project team  
  • Understanding of consumer attitudes to credit, money and payments advantageous
  • Analytical and comfortable with drawing insights from data and reporting
  • Hands on marketer who is outstanding at execution
  • Strategic and innovative thinker
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required
