We are looking for a stellar Marketing Manager to join our team in London and grow Xoom money transfers to Africa. Africa is one of the most exciting regions for international money transfers, thanks to its unique consumer base, diverse payments landscape and sizeable opportunity. This role has a strategic remit with diversity across the marketing spectrum. We are looking for a well-rounded marketing generalist able to develop a full suite of marketing programs, then roll up the sleeves and passionately execute them.

  • Develop consumer-centric marketing strategies for growing Xoom transfers to Africa, with P&L ownership and focus on core business KPIs
  • Create marketing campaign proposals, including budget requirements and targeted KPIs, drive approvals within the organisation, then execute with excellence
  • Lead marketing communications strategy for Africa audiences, working closely with our media and creative agencies
  • Partner with research and analytics teams to build a knowledge of African consumers, to deploy learnings and insights across all marketing programs
  • Partner with product and partnership teams to help build the best product & service for African consumers
  • Work closely with Xoom team in San Francisco, Guatemala as well as PayPal teams In NA & Europe to drive synergies in strategy & resource deployment
  • Earn the confidence of leadership by demonstrating success in the plans you deploy and articulation of your analysis and forecasting
  • Manage marketing budgets and overall business performance, reporting on findings, insights and provide business recommendations
  • Effectively influence across all levels of the organisation, contribute with teamwork to drive business impact.


  • min. 4 years of marketing experience
  • Strong understanding of multicultural media and consumers with relevant marketing experience to immigrant communities
  • Passion to drive business forward with intellectual curiosity, strong problem solving skills and critical thinking
  • Demonstrate delivering a forecast within budget
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Able to back up recommendations using data
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail
