PayPal Giving Fund aims to inspire a new wave of philanthropy by harnessing the power of technology to make giving a part of everyday life. We do this by developing and managing innovative programmes that enable donors to support their favourite charities across platforms including PayPal, Facebook, eBay, Humble Bundle and GoFundMe. The Marketing and Communications Executive will have responsibility for delivering PayPal Giving Fund’s marketing and communications priorities in the UK, and informing and supporting similar initiatives across the organization.

Primary job responsibilities

The marketing and communications executive will execute on a range of marketing and communications functions focused on charities (B2B) and donors (B2C). Key responsibilities will include:

  • Refining and communicating our value proposition, through website content development, newsletter drafting and delivery and customer communications.
  • Leading the design and development of our communications content, including, marketing presentations and brochures, announcements, and our annual report.
  • Supporting the delivery of marketing campaigns, owning our brand guidelines and managing a UK marketing budget, while advising on marketing and outreach expenditure more broadly.
  • Facilitating internal communications through team meetings and content sharing across the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), with particular experience in communications and marketing functions.
  • Excellent copywriting ability with a focus on marketing and sales collateral.
  • Solid working knowledge of web and print design and commissioning.
  • High level of competence with MS Office and/or Adobe design applications.
  • Familiarity with the charity sector, particularly fundraising and digital services.
  • Numerate with strong data analysis and processing skills.

Preferred experience and qualifications:

  • Working with the charity trade press and delivering media campaigns.
  • Working with large commercial organizations in an effective and efficient way.
  • Commissioning service providers and holding them to account for their output.
  • Experience planning and coordinating complex projects.
