This Consumer Development, Northern & Central Europe Internship is to ensure that more people have to opportunity to use PayPal, across different experiences, and understand the value that PayPal provides to them in their everyday lives. You will be identifying and launching new consumer engines, scouting and exploiting existing and new use cases. This role will focus on supporting the Consumer Development managers across the North and Central Europe region, as well as running your own projects. This will include building and evaluating business cases, presenting ideas, getting buying from internal stakeholders, and managing the implementation of projects. All to increase consumer activity and revenue for the region. We’re looking for someone with a passion for ecommerce, strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, commercial approach and excellent communication skills. In addition, if you are fun loving, hardworking, enjoy PlayStation, and the occasional night out with the team, you will fit right in. There won’t be dull moment, with Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Island, Poland, Romania, Czech and more than 30 other markets in our region you will find there’s a lot to discover!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Research & Analyze: Market research & consumer insights - consumer interviews and surveys
  • Support Head of Consumer Proposition managers on various business development, product & marketing tasks
  • Support on Initiatives focused on optimizing Consumer onboarding
  • Analyze key KPIs, ROI and project success
  • Support on identifying new opportunities. For example we have launched partnerships where you can pay on events via your wristband; evaluate scalability in different local initiatives.
  • Develop and execute on Consumer Development strategy according to PayPal value proposition
  • Develop local and international partnerships to drive consumer habituation and engagement
  • Build developer and start-up community communication and account acquisition
  • Support on launching new product releases
  • Continue to drive the awareness of the PayPal value prop Free Return Shipping in all of NCE
  • Drive specific projects from start to completion

Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Analytical, business minded with a problem-solver mind-set. Good retail and ecommerce understanding and an interest in e-commerce, internet and technology
  • A plus but not must is knowledge in the payments industry.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Self-driven, unafraid and pragmatic personality.
  • Perfectly mastering at least one of the regional languages.
  • Fluent in English
  • Personal fit: Fun, creative, highly energetic personality and a great team player
  • Top academic performer from top University / Business School
  • Master's Degree or Equivalent - only current students or recent graduates, within 6 months of graduation, considered.

To be considered you must:

  • be available for 6 consecutive months
  • have at least one relevant prior work experience.
  • have student status.
  • depending on cases, a work permit/VISA may be required.
