• Partner with stakeholders (e.g., marketing) to build and continually improve/optimize PayPal’s marketing initiatives and programs • Identify key metrics, conduct rigorous explorative data analysis, create executive facing dashboards and build business cases that drive decision making and business prioritization • Participating and collaborating with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale. • Using statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming languages. • Ability to create models to pull valuable insights from data. • Ability to use creativity to spot trends and tease out patterns in large datasets. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to effectively communicate data insights to project team and leadership and negotiate options. • Continuously think on how to improvement the analytics infrastructure for the team and automate processes • Provide thought leadership within the marketing analytics community

The selected candidate for this role would be expected to have the following skills:

  • Marketing Analytics & Data Science professional with a proven track record of extracting and manipulating data using SQL and leveraging advance Tableau and Microsoft Excel features for data analysis in a fast-paced global technology company or a startup
  • Hands on professional who can perform deep dive analyses on key business trends from different perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents. Assures accuracy, integrity, and compliance of cleansed data.
  • A strong articulate communicator with business acumen who can work efficiently and effectively with key stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies to define and produce business metrics and insights within a given time frame
  • Works with the business to understand the business domain perspective. Effectively tells stories with the data using visualization tools/methods to demonstrate insight impact and business value.
  • Someone who pays attention to detail and is intellectually curious to make the extra effort to understand the underlying causes of business trends
  • Maintains proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts
  • Collaborates and communicates with project team regarding project progress

Role

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong SQL & Tableau skills to manipulate and extract data
  • Experience in working on Marketing Analytics
  • Good Knowledge on Python and/or R
  • Strong understanding of predictive modeling / Data Science
  • Business Acumen to produce relevant metrics and insights
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel features to convert raw data into meaningful views
  • Strong coding skills to automate regular business reports and Good Tableau skills to create dashboards
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Exposure to handle large datasets
  • Knowledge on Hadoop/Hive is good to have skill
  • ~5-6 Years of work experience in the field of Marketing Analytics & Data Science - Bachelor’s/Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science or Statistics equivalent experience is preferred

Education: -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Equivalent (Required)-
  • Master’s degree would be valued
