This market expansion role would focus on developing merchants and partnerships to help establish PayPal as the leading online payment platform for cross-border businesses in Vietnam.

  • Create pipeline of  merchants/partners in Vietnam who sell goods and/or services online and get them to use PayPal as their transaction platform for cross-border payments
  • Achieve target numbers by developing a pipeline of opportunities and owning the whole sales cycle
  • Manage client relationships from creating the need to closing the deal
  • Be a key strategic partner and trusted advisor….identify opportunities for proactive discussions with merchants/partners regarding their business and recommendations as to how PayPal may assist in helping their growth
  • Train/educate merchants/partners on PayPal’s unique value proposition, including, but not limited to, products, features and risk management
  • Initiate and manage co-marketing initiatives
  • Increase PayPal’s share of total payment volume by cross-selling PayPal as a payment processing alternative for any additional business owned or controlled

    Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in corporate sales/business development/ partnerships within a fast-paced and target-oriented environment
  • Strong consultative approach with a proven track record of driving revenue growth whilst creating long-term client relationships
  • Knowledge of/interest in payments, internet/mobile, gaming, digital goods, e-commerce and other online ecosystems
  • Problem-solver with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to close deals in a complex selling environment with multiple decision makers
  • Good presentation/listening skills and comfortable negotiating contract terms
  • Excellent team player with great interpersonal, cross-cultural and communication skills able to work effectively in a highly-matrixed, dynamic and fast-paced environment. Must be open to change
  • Results-oriented self-starter with plenty of initiative and drive
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Post-graduate credentials preferred
  • Fluent in both Vietnamese and conversational English
