The Manager of Global Workforce Strategy & Planning will join PayPal’s Strategic Workforce Planning team and is a critical role in the design and delivery PayPal’s future global workforce. This role will work directly PayPal Executives across the Business Units, Finance and HR to deliver strategic, high-impact data-driven, workforce strategy and insights. You will be responsible to drive action and affect positive change at PayPal.

  • Applying leadership and project management skills to operational teams across the organization in developing strategic workforce plans
  • Building methodologies, templates, and instruction to support data analysis, identification of workforce gaps (capacity and capability), and development of gap closure strategies
  • Creating executive communication strategies to inform and influence key stakeholders on workforce strategy decisions
  • Facilitating meetings that engage manpower, budget, human resources, and operational leaders in collaborative decision making on long-term workforce sizing and shaping strategies
  • Developing and presenting decision-making and status briefings to governing and advisory groups 
  • Conducting environmental scans, labor market studies and scenario planning, workforce modelling to assess forces that will impact leaders’ ability to size and shape the workforce
  • Analyzing personnel data for accurate understanding of PayPal’s workforces
  • Researching, benchmarking, and proposing draft competency models
  • Facilitating the collaboration of subject matter experts to review, update, and validate occupation-specific competency models
  • Guiding leaders to develop strategies to improve workforce effectiveness and consideration of robotic process outsourcing and task automation     
  • Drafting strategic workforce plans and conducting formal coordination processes during annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly planning cycles

Position Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Analytics or other quantitative field
  • 3+ years of workforce planning, workforce strategy with a large preferably global organization
  • Management consulting experience preferred
  • Competency model development, assessment, and implementation
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, Visier Workforce Planning, SAP Finance (BCP), HC planning technologies
