PayPal is looking for a security operations manager for PayPal's vulnerability management program. The candidate will: • Oversee the implementation of PayPal's vulnerability management program in accordance with the Vulnerability Management Plan. • Maintain tools used for vulnerability testing and identification • Develop and disseminate reports on vulnerability status to stakeholders involved in remediating vulnerabilities. • Work with stakeholders as necessary to develop vulnerability remediation strategies.

Functional Responsibilities: 

Will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the vulnerability management program including external and internally developed tools for patching and their procedures. 

Should be well-versed with PCI DSS guidelines and understand the security vulnerabilities severity and priority for risk computation.

Should work to optimize system operation and resource utilization and perform system capacity planning/analysis while maintaining the security posture. 

Will perform system security analyses on systems, and should provide guidance, training, research, and recommendations on innovative patching methodologies.

Conduct technical reviews to support non-standard operational requirements and systems; design, develop and maintain unique security tools and techniques to meet the patching SLA.

Manage a security operations team span across multiple time zones.

Meet or beat PayPal's vulnerability management program goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing enterprise systems and 3 years of relevant experience in security operations responsibility.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or an equivalent combination of formal education, experience preferred.
  • Must have a strong technical background and understand system architecture and design, operating systems, network infrastructure, software installation on test platforms, database, and operating systems.
