As an Engineering Manager for the test frameworks team, you will be leading a team of strong engineers that enables the rest of development community to quickly and reliably test their code changes. You will be building the next generation test platform that enables rich data insights into identifying the gaps in testing and introduce, influence the culture of great test practices and engineering disciplines within the organization. You will be focused on solving the hardest, most interesting challenges of reducing the testing cycle time and building tools that can intelligently triage failures. You'll build framework that enables the rest of the development community effectively contribute with utilities that can enhance the quality at PayPal.

You'll use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence better software design, promote proper engineering practice, bug prevention strategies, testability, accessibility, and other advanced quality concepts across products.

Skills:

10+ years software development experience Engineering lead/management experience

Experience with evaluating and integrating open source and in house developed toolsets

Demonstrated ability to build strong, highly productive engineering teams

Technical and people leadership skills

Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical issues to a non-technical audience

Needs to be a team player and work in a high pace environment with lots of ambiguity and short turn-around times.

B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science is desired
