Mission/Vision:

  • Help to make PayPal for Partners product to be the preferred Payment Method for Partners and Marketplaces segment in the market.
  • Build a highly-engaged engineering organization with customer-focus, innovative, collaborative and inclusive mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 6-10 engineers to build and launch new capabilities for eBay and PayPal for Partners
  • Solve complex and "first" Payment problems in PayPal.
  • Collaborate with and influence many cross-vertical teams to solve these problems.
  • Interface with Professional Services, Business Units, directly with partners as part of launch and integration support.
  • Coaching/Mentoring/Motivating teams in direct or indirect line of command
  • Hiring/Retain top talents as the org will continue to expand

Competencies:

  • Hands-on experience in managing teams in building products in agile fashion
  • At least 5-8 years of management experience in customer-facing products (external API and/or user experiences)
  • Ability to solve complex problem:  who are the customers, what problem trying to solve, how to approach/dissect the problem to arrive at the solution
  • Understanding SOA architecture, ability to call out architectural "issues”
  • Coaching/Mentoring/Motivating team
  • Conflict management
  • Execution management
  • Communication up and down
