Manager, Sales Planning & Operations is a member of the Sales Planning & Operations org and acts as the central point of contact for sales planning and effectiveness activities and deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Drive initiatives in Sales Transformation office which help collect feedback from merchants and partners and up-level key issues to PayPal’s senior leadership
  • Pass aggregated merchant inputs to PMM/GTM teams and help them prioritize product roadmaps and business cases    
  • Annual Sales Planning – Develop and drive a globally consistent sales planning process that includes account segmentation, territory planning, incentives strategy support, role reassignments strategy, and coverage model for quota setting
  • Account Segmentation – Determine buying behavior and potential future value of current and prospective customer accounts to ensure segments are aligned to the global sales GTM strategy
  • Territory Planning – Assess and optimize territory / portfolio alignments and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Role Reassignments strategy – Determine role related coverage ratios to ensure proper global sales coverage and recommend changes to optimize seller resources
  • Incentive Strategy Support & Quota Setting – Partner with the Finance Compensation COE on Incentive Strategy and facilitate timely allocation of targets to the sales teams leveraging market and customer knowledge
  • Account Planning – Create account planning processes that prioritizes continuity of account ownership, supports efforts to drive new customer acquisition, and increases efficiencies and maximize revenue within existing and new customers
  • Sales Effectiveness & Strategic Initiatives – Support and lead strategic performance improvement initiatives, representing Global Sales Operations within cross functional programs
  • Establish effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders: Global Sales Operations Partner COEs, Finance, Marketing, HR, and others
  • Data Analytics & Excel Modeling – Partner with analytics team to develop strong data driven analytics muscle and support in creation of sales insights reports for sales planning function  

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from accredited university
  • 2+ years of related business and leadership experience
  • Solid strategic planning skills combined with exceptional execution
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with the ability to analyze data and reports
  • Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence
  • Requires an excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Sales Operations processes and systems (sales cycle, salesforce.com, reporting, forecasting, territory management and sales quotas)
  • Clear, strategic thinker with vision, with the ability to execute on priorities
  • Solid excel based data analysis and modeling skills
  • Advanced power point presentation skills and an ability to present to senior stakeholders
