PayPal’s Global Sourcing Team is seeking a Sourcing Manager that will hold primary responsibility for indirect categories such as: Real Estate & Facilities, Professional Services, etc. – based on the selected candidates’ skill-set.

The Sourcing Manager is accountable for developing, managing and executing the sourcing strategy for assigned indirect categories (such as Real Estate & Facilities, Professional Services, etc.) in North America, and in some instances, Globally. This individual will work closely with business units to manage sourcing strategies that drive significant value and impact for the BU operations and profitability. The candidate will set the direction for the category area, building both short/medium and long-term opportunities to drive sourcing excellence. The candidate must possess excellent sourcing and stakeholder management skills. This position is part of the PayPal Global Sourcing Team, which oversees $1Billion+ in global spend of indirect products and services, supporting all business units within the company. With staff currently located in three countries around the world, we partner closely with the business teams to minimize risk and maximize value through Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management.

  • Great communicator, with a strong willingness to help facilitate understanding and solutions
  • Superior analytical ability to quickly gather facts, perform root cause analysis and draw conclusions 
  • Strong negotiation skills to influence leadership on strategic direction, business case value proposition & sourcing recommendations
  • Strong contract/vendor negotiation preparation/execution skills to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong ability to drive and implement change across stakeholder group
  • Ability to manage multiple project/tasks concurrently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with team members and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related discipline
  • 3-5 years’ experience required in Sourcing with a Fortune 500 company, a leading consultancy, or other major industry
  • Banking, Technology or Financial Services experience
  • Experience in managing non-IT indirect spend categories
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong negotiation, analytics, strategy/planning skills
