As Manager Merchant Development you will be a key member of the DE/AT/CH Mid Market Team which looks after thousands of PayPal’s fastest growing merchants.
The main focus of this role is to create win-win situations through business development within a sizable merchant portfolio and to drive key projects and strategies within PayPal’s international network.

You will...

  • Develop the business within a sizable merchant portfolio, driving sustainable growth with creativity, persistence and a can-do attitude by
  • Understanding the merchants’ needs and opportunities end-to-end by thinking like a business owner
  • Identifying opportunities and levers for joint growth and excellent relationships
  • Creating respective sales and cross-selling initiatives
  • Ensuring top-notch service to the merchants in close collaboration with the servicing teams
  • Monitor performance of relevant key metrics end-to-end, generating actionable insights to steer the business accordingly
  • Drive key projects for the German business within PayPal’s international framework, closely collaborating with stakeholders, contributors and colleagues around the world

Job Requirements:

  • Profound understanding of eCommerce and experience in merchant business development
  • Drive to always optimize our merchants’ experience with PayPal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work in a cross-functional team in a matrix organization
  • Business acumen, strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and offer insight and recommendations into business opportunities.
  • Team player mindset, energetic personality, abiity to work well under pressure with a self-starter mentality
  • Eagerness to learn, contribute and share knowledge
  • Successful completion of Master studies or equivalent
  • Fluency in English & German
