Pricing is one of PayPal’s most prominent strategic finance functions. A team of high performers with a broad mandate, Pricing operates at the junction of strategy, product, and execution. Job Description:

In this role you will gain exposure to a wide variety of pricing projects and responsibilities. Beginning with our core business, you will help develop and manage pricing playbook for the region in partnership with cross-functional leads from sales, finance, core payments, legal, risk, marketing, and operations, and structure commercial negotiations with our large enterprise portfolio. Immersing yourself in the nuances of PayPal, you will develop a deep understanding of the business from end to end, allowing you to tackle broader initiatives related to product- or regional-specific pricing, the ever-evolving competitive landscape, strategic partnerships, M&A activities, etc. Given the high-profile nature of Pricing projects, this role offers regular visibility to senior management and the opportunity to materially impact PayPal’s business.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Help set vision, prioritization, and roadmap for Pricing
  • Interacting with our multi-cultural teams spread across the globe driving alignment
  • Deploy best-in-class pricing models and analytics to develop compelling, insightful recommendations for senior management
  • Creatively structure commercial deals with complex, ambiguous, and potentially charged business issues
  • Use financial and competitive insights gained through rigorous analysis and research to achieve alignment between price, value, and business objectives
  • Build consensus among cross-functional partners and influence decision making within executive-level audiences
  • Drive pricing initiatives with in the region

Job Qualifications (required):

  •  5-7 years of relevant business and finance experience
  • Strong big-picture strategic thinking with highly structured approach to problem-solving
  • Robust excel-based financial modeling skills
  • Excellent power point presentation skills (or eager to learn the skillset)
  • Ability to crystalize complex topics and experience presenting to executive audiences
  • Highly inquisitive, proactive, and able to work both independently and in small teams
  • Excellent inter-personal skills

Job Qualifications (desired):

  • Master’s degree or CFA credential
  • Payments experience (merchant acquiring, card issuing, other digital payments / fin tech)
  • Transactional experience in financial services (IB, PE, capital markets)
  • Analytics / statistical modeling experience, comfort with large datasets, SQL
  • Japanese and/or Spanish speaking proficiency would be a Plus
