The candidate will report into the Western Europe CFO and be part of Finance team based in Paris.


Manager FP&A Western Europe (m/f)

The Finance Manager will lead and support  the planning and forecasting processes for PayPal’s Western Markets (France, Italy, Iberia, IBNL, Nordics) and help support the financial consolidation for the Regional CFO.
This position will involve working with the Western Markets’ management team and wider FP&A team to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, reviewing monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the Western Markets’ regions. It will also require collaboration with different stakeholders to gather inputs, summarize insights and produce executive level presentations. Key focus will be to drive optimal decision making through financial modelling and quantitative analysis.
The Finance manager will be also supporting key Business strategic Initiatives in coordination with the regional/global strategy/Go to Market teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Senior Management to develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business across different PayPal’ regions & segments, managing monthly forecast processes, strategic planning process and drafting CEO & CFO Board presentations.
  • Provide detailed strategic insight into the dynamics of the differing parts of the Western Markets’ business and deep dives to understand specific revenue driver trends.
  • Drive optimal decision making through insightful models and analytical tools & use of extensive financial and quantitative analysis, modelling, including revenue variance analyses.
  • Work with Western Europe Market’s Senior Management and different FP&A team members to produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports, produce analytical dashboards, review monthly forecasts, quarterly targets and annual budgets for the region.
  • Drive Western Europe FP&A analytics tools and process strategies, partnering with Core/international and global FP&A and technology teams.
  • The Finance manager will be also supporting key Business strategic Initiatives in coordination with the regional/global strategy/Go to Market teams

Requirements:

A successful candidate will be highly analytical and capable of interpreting trends. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to present and work with the wider FP&A team and business owners. The candidate will provide planning support while aiming at doing so in a scalable and efficient way.

  • Masters Degree or equivalent. MBA preferred.

  • Experience gained in FP&A or commercial finance ideally in a fast growing, medium/large company environment within the eCommerce or financial services sectors or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving forecast and budget processes, as well as building and challenging financial models.
  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex financial analyses into action-oriented recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional / multicultural environment while juggling multiple responsibilities, and influence peers and more senior colleagues.
  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills. Experience with database products (i.e. Essbase, SQL, Python).
  • Fluent in English. Any other language of the region is more than welcome.
