The Internal Control Manager will support the implementation, and enhancement of first line of defense control processes for Luxembourg Bank by providing ongoing monitoring of the internal control environment. This person should be a trusted relationship builder and partner to the functional teams.

Internal Control Oversight:

  • Work collaboratively with management and functional teams to proactively identify, assess, manage and mitigate internal control risks and build a robust internal control framework. 
  • Ensure Issues and incidents are managed in accordance with the Global Governance Risk and Compliance Issue Management Standard.
  • Partner with Second Line of Defense teams to:
    • Facilitate Compliance testing engagements and oversee the provision and execution of remediation plans in the event of Compliance Testing Findings,
    • Work with Risk & Compliance Officer’s to provide inputs to GGRC reporting cadences
    • Support the implementation of the Annual Risk and Compliance Plans.
  • Partner with Third Line of Defense to facilitate Internal or External Audit engagements and support the provision and execution of remediation plans in the event of Audit Findings.
  • Lead preparation and facilitation of Bank Governance Routines such as Issue Management Forum, and Operations and Controls Committee (OCC)
  • Support implementation and monitoring of the Business Continuity Plan.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in identifying, evaluating, issues and collaborating to drive mitigation in partnership with key stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate in a simple, clear, concise manner
  • Ability to determine when to escalate to management and identify the right stakeholders for decision making
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work regionally globally and cross-functionally
