The Manager plays a critical role in the development, coordination and oversight of our business debit card product expansion strategy. This position will coordinate complex go-to-market and engagement strategies that build a long-term and successful international business debit portfolio.

As a team player, you will quickly become a subject matter expert on the business debit card product, its features and related services.  You’ll create a structured program to monitor the health of the portfolio so that opportunities can be maximized, and customer pain points remediated in a timely manner.  You’ll need to not only sell the vision, but also be able to manage the day-to-day details around what it takes to turn strategy into reality.  You prioritize and execute on mission critical debit card strategies, such as geographic expansion and launch readiness, regional performance reporting, as well as issues tracking and management.  This work is to be coordinated hand in hand with country and regional leaders who have business objectives and goals to achieve.        

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch Coordination – Ensure regional and country leaders are prepared for the overall launch of the business debit card product.  Develop a playbook by which the launch can be scaled broadly.  Leverage best practices known in the industry and within PayPal to achieve the successful deployment of the business debit card. 
  • Portfolio Metrics and Performance Reporting – Develop well thought out performance dashboards and reports.  Work closely with stakeholders to identify the right metrics to monitor and coordinate the automation of said monitoring so that it can be scaled across the globe. Actively monitor the growth and success of the portfolio to identify opportunities to optimize cardholder engagement, acquisition and retention.
  • Budget Management – Aid regional leaders in development of an annual business debit budget.  Coordinate the forecasting of various portfolio activities including card issuance, payment volume, operating expenses and the like to maintain a profitable business portfolio without compromising the customer experience. 
  • Product Management – Prioritize and coordinate the delivery of new and enhanced product features, services and enhancements related to the PayPal Business Debit Card.  Help ensure that stakeholders are aligned in the execution and timing of these deliverables. 
  • Project Management – Lead important projects through execution following a structured project management process so that stakeholders are kept informed, issues and risks are identified and properly mitigated and work is being delivered as planned. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in program, product or portfolio management domains, with an emphasis on small business financial services. 
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while applying sound business judgment and quantitative analytics.
  • Have experience localising products/rollouts to support the specific needs of a country or region.
  • Leadership experience with a solid understanding of the key business drivers related to debit card and financial services.
  • Experience developing business cases, financial analysis and modeling
  • Proficient at PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau and financial reporting.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
