The Manager of Corporate Functions partners with a member of the Senior Leadership Team and their organizations to proactively manage their expense and assist in making short-term and long-term tradeoffs to deliver financial commitments.

This person will be responsible for leading the forecasting and analysis for a Corporate Function. This person will report directly to the Sr. Manager Corp Functions, and will play a critical role in assuring that our opex spending meets internal and external expectations by identifying early signs of trend changes and highlighting potential risks and opportunities.

This is a high impact, high visibility position with exposure to PayPal’s senior leadership team and senior finance leadership team.


Summary of responsibilities, encompassing:

  • Own Opex consolidation and analysis for a Corporate Function
  • Monitor and proactively manage weekly/monthly Opex across the Corporate Function and communicate risks and opportunities to the overall PayPal portfolio
  • Work closely with the Corporate Function and their operational planners to understand drivers of current trends, forecast assumptions and communicate to the leadership
  • Lead annual budget process for Corporate Function, understand drivers and do independent analysis to validate

Job requirements:

  • World-class analytics and problem-solving capabilities required
  • A passion for problem-solving, comfort with ambiguity, and creativity
  • High energy, strong work ethic, willingness to do “whatever it takes” to get to the results
  • Team player attitude, partnering, and collaboration skills
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, SAP BPC is a plus
  • 7+ years in FP&A, accounting or related finance functions
  • MBA or CPA is a plus
