Analytics is core to PayPal and we are a highly data driven organisation. We leverage data driven insights extensively in the areas of Product, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Risk, Credit, Operations etc. To support our insatiable appetite for analytics, we are looking for an Analytics Manager that will support the regional growth based on out Singapore focussed exponentially expandign the business

The individual will closely work with the regional business leaders to analyze busienss performance, explain key drivers and make actionable recommendations. The Analytics Manager will then continue to monitor the impact of the actions and then further enhance the recommendations to improve business impact. It is a great opportunity for someone who has a strategic view, strong attention to detail and want to combine those to wok in a data-drive culture and is willing to take end to end ownership for Analytics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with business partners to design, track and estimate the benefit of new strategies and decisions to drive key business performance metrics
  • Develop and track appropriate metrics to estimate the impact of new strategies/decisions/initiatives, and determine if the impact is driving the business materially in the right direction
  • Forecsat acqusitions & churn for new activations across APAC, socialize the forecast across the region and be the point of contact for all communicated with the global teams
  • Convert business questions into analytical problems and implementable data analyses
  • Use analytics and statistics to improve our ability to detect, understand and address emerging trends that could pose a risk to business performance metrics
  • Develop and apply statistical concepts/techniques to conducting Champion/Challenger Strategy Testing (Hypothesis Testing) to estimate the benefit of new strategies, campaigns or policies implemented by different business units
  • Communicate complex concepts and the results of the analyses with clear and effective communication and visualization (e.g., Excel Charts and PowerPoint slides) to all levels
  • Manage multiple priorities through solid Project Management practices
  • Discover new opportunities and identify gaps to grow and optimize business through Analytics
  • Support global and regional strategic initiatives across Product, Marketing and Business verticals
  • Partner across multiple global and regional functions and businesses
  • Use the power of analytics to identify optimization opportunities across Product, Marketing and Regional Businesses. Support rapid test and learn
  • Use analytics and statistics to improve our ability to detect, understand and address emerging trends across portfolio and identify levers that Product, Marketing and Regional Businesses can move

Job Requirements

Experience

  • 5-10 years of related experience in Analytics in a fast moving and matrixed environment preferable with a payments, internet or ecommerce company
  • Expertise in statistics and analytics, with a focus on utilising data insights to solve business problems.
  • Command of Statistics and Optimization concepts (Educational qualifications and hands-on experience in a statistical role)
  • Experience in SQL and/or SAS, Excel macros and Visual Basic is required; experience with Teradata or other database management system a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to visualize data is required
  • Strong desire and ability to work in a dynamic, innovative, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics or related field
  • Additional business qualifications like MBA or Masters of Finance/Statistics/Economics preferred
