We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to be part of the GDS Payments Engineering Team. The successful candidate will interact with global cross-functional teams to address complex business requirements. The individual should be self-motivated, possess creative problem-solving skills as well as the ability to handle multiple projects at the same time.

Responsibilities:

In this role, the individual will be part of the engineering team within GDS and have the following responsibilities (not an exhaustive list).

  • Work with business partners and stake holders to understand the business, formulate the problems, come up with the solutions and communicate them back effectively to non-technical audience.
  • Lead complex, multifunctional data science engineering projects
  • Design, develop and deploy Data pipelines and Machine learning models
  • Work with large volumes of data; extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Python, R, H2O, Hadoop and SQL
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement models on one of the best data platforms in the industry.
  • Analyze large datasets to derive insights and patterns
  • Communicate complex concepts and the results of the models and analyses to technical and non-technical audience
  • Mentor and grow junior data scientists

Job Requirements

  • Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in science or engineering field with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience in building Bigdata pipelines and proven track record of implementing Machine learning models
  • Experience in Model development and deployment in GCP is big plus
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of building and implementing machine learning solutions
  • Data science experience in Payments domains especially Card-risk would be an added plus
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative to contribute beyond basic responsibilities
