PayPal Corporate Tax has an exciting opportunity for a Transfer Pricing Manager assisting with the transfer pricing (“TP”) activities related to the integration of acquisitions into PayPal’s tax structure. You must be a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple completing priorities and deadlines. The position reports into the Sr. Manager of TP for the Americas region, and is based in San Jose, California.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day TP matters required for the successful integration of businesses acquired by PayPal into the tax structure; including but limited to: drafting and maintaining intercompany agreements, reviewing step plans with M&A tax team, preparing TP reports, conducting functional interviews, preparing cost allocation models and TP reserve analysis;
  • Coordinate the execution of new intercompany flows with the Accounting team;
  • Assist the Senior Manager of TP with managing intercompany agreements worldwide;
  • Together with the Senior Manager of TP, be the TP contact for questions related to business integrations, intercompany pricing policies, and intercompany agreement needs;
  • Build relationships with internal Finance, Legal, HR, and business partners as well as external advisors to ensure complete and timely flow of information to the TP team and effective integration of businesses acquired by PayPal; and
  • Provide TP support for other special projects as needed.
  • May require some travel, up to 10% of the time.

Requirements:

  • 6 to 8 years of related TP experience (Big 4, law firm or Financials Services experience is a plus);
  • Deep understanding of TP principles, theory and interpretation;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
  • Strong project management skills; and
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Education:

  •  JD and/or LLM required
