PayPal's technology organization designs, develops, and maintains mobile, web, and back office systems that bring financial flexibility to over 260 million active customers around the globe. As part of the Technology Platform Experiences (“TPX”) Central PMO, you will be responsible for driving outcomes against a variety of business challenges while helping promote the elevation of PMO community and best practices across TPX. The M&A Integration Program Manager will operate as the “horizontal” (cross-functional) Program Manager within TPX responsible for coordinating with the matrixed team of TPX M&A points of contact (POCs) in planning and orchestrating technical diligence and integration activities for PayPal’s current and future acquisitions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the operations, planning and execution of TPX M&A activities from due diligence through deal execution and integration in an organized, disciplined and predictable fashion. You will be a critical partner to TPX M&A POCs in managing dependencies, mitigating risks, resolving issues, and effectively communicating at all levels within TPX and the acquired companies.

You should have experience leading M&A due diligence and integration efforts, possess stellar written and verbal communication skills, have demonstrated success influencing others where you don’t have authority, and be highly organized.

You are detail oriented, meticulous, customer-focused, and have a reputation for getting things done. Moreover, you love operating in a dynamic and demanding environment, think critically, act quickly, and partner naturally. Good judgment, and team building skills are coveted. 

Job responsibilities may include:

  • Acting as a representative and ambassador for PayPal in technical discussions with potential acquirees
  • Supporting the development and presentation of findings and recommendations on the technical merits of a potential acquisition to leadership up to and including the senior executive level
  • Coordinating across teams to support the development of an initial proposal for product and technology integration, including budgeting and timelines, for customer-facing, backoffice, and employee functionality
  • Communicating with teams across PayPal and acquired companies to socialize, validate, and refine integration plans
  • Driving the end-to-end efforts to execute the integration plan, working with and through functional teams to prioritize and deliver outcomes
  • Maintaining and updating the M&A technical integration playbook
  • Domestic and international travel

Job Description:

  • 10-12 years of program/project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A diligence and integration programs
  • Literate in web platform and infrastructure concepts and terminology
  • Strong project management full life cycle experience in large scale projects leveraging different methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with diverse teams in multiple locations.
  • Ability to influence where you do not have direct authority through strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
