This is a newly created position in the PayPal security M&A integration team. In this role, you will perform security reviews and support changes to identity, access, application security and network controls as part of a zero-trust program. You will support newly acquired company’s migration from existing security tooling and processes to PayPal standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments.
  • Conduct security gap analysis for newly acquired companies
  • Review existing business and product processes for Zero Trust maturity opportunities.
  • Develop and document plans to implement new security technologies or processes.
  • Define and implement enterprise perimeter (on premise and cloud based) Zero Trust security policies and procedures.
  • Engage with and influence peers and company leadership to integrate new acquisitions


Qualifications:

  • Have systematic thinking on product architecture design, implementation, testing, and other related work.
  • Experience with Enterprise IDS/IPS or Web Application Firewalls
  • Experience with Secure Internet Gateways (SIG) or Secure Web Gateways (SWG), Identity

Access Management, and Digital Identity

  • Architecting, designing, and supporting enterprise-class networks
  • Familiar with and Experience in Identity Aware Proxies, Identity as a Service, and Software as a Service
  • Experience with malware, phishing, anti-virus, threat landscapes, and social engineering
  • Experience with routers, network appliances, WAN Optimization, and Virtual Machines
  • Strong background in Layer 7 technologies and protocols, such as HTTP, DNS, SSL, Web & App Servers, Load Balancers, Content/Application Delivery Network (CDN), HTTP Streaming, Mobile Site/Application Acceleration, Three Tier Architectures
  • Knowledgeable with identity, authentication, and authorization technologies such as SAML, Kerberos, Active Directory, LDAP, IdPs, and secret-key cryptography
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management clients desired
     

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field w/ 8+ years of experience
    OR Master's Degree w/ 6+ years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with networking and identity technologies and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS as well as experience with access technologies such as RBAC required
  • 3+ years of experience in the cybersecurity engineering field required
  • 1+ year consulting large enterprise in network segmentation, MFA and zero-trust required
