The Legal eDiscovery Analyst provides support and assistance related to the identification, preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review and production of electronically stored information. This role will be responsible for providing a high level of consulting and support in the areas of litigation, employment, regulatory and government investigations. The ideal candidate is highly technical and analytical, yet also possesses excellent communication, consultative and other professional, forward-facing skills.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate completion of various data analysis tasks, including keyword searches, analysis of client data, filtering and culling of system and non-responsive files, production logs, privilege logs, bulk document coding, depositions and general trial / arbitration / hearing preparation. Provide education and support to attorneys, paralegals, staff and law firm partners regarding practice support software and tools (e.g., Relativity, Eclipse, NUIX, iPro, etc.). Perform data collections from Office 365, Google Vault, shared files and folders.

KEY SKILLS & BACKGROUND

•     Hands on experience with eDiscovery processing tools such as LAW Pre-Discovery, Nuix and iPro.

•     Knowledge of underlying processes of EDRM (e.g. early case assessment, processing, productions, and review protocols).

•     Proficient in Relativity workspace set-up including, but not limited to, analytics, user set-up and group permissions, coding layouts, running complex keyword and dtSearch queries, and workflow customization such as indexing, set-up of views, field/choices, persistent highlighting sets, etc.

•     Exceptional analytical, issue-spotting and problem-solving skills – demonstrated capability to quickly analyze complex factual situations, evaluate key risk issues and make appropriate decisions.

•     Self-starter with ability to work independently under time sensitive deadlines and other business pressures.

•     Excellent project management skills, including organizing, planning, consulting and follow-through.

•     Sound understanding of database technology, including, but not limited to, relational and flat file database systems, data types, indexing and queries. Ability to create MS Access databases and/or support and understand basic SQL queries is a plus.

•     Outstanding presentation, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to influence diverse groups of senior professionals. 

•     Ability to forensically collect data from PCs, Macs, IOS, Android, and/or Windows Devices

•     Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred
