The Leadership & Development Team within Global Talent Development is seeking a Program Manager who will be responsible for the creation and management of innovative and scalable Management and Leadership Development programs for the PayPal Leadership population globally. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the project management and development and deployment of appropriate strategies and interventions to address identified leadership and management development needs. The role is located in New York.

The ideal candidate must be self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, coach, and lead a team to execute the L&D Strategy in alignment with the wider OD agenda and day-to-day L&D operations, including management and leadership development programs.
  • Initiate and lead continuous process improvement, including optimization of current project management approach with a strong focus on data analytics
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s strategy and planning in order to advance the on-going delivery of the objectives while taking responsibility for delivery of key components of those objectives.
  • Build, execute, deploy, and measure management and leadership programs to support development across the organization.
  • Develop strategies and processes to ensure effective delivery of global training programs for leaders.
  • Contribute to reporting on training activities and analyze data to drive results and learning effectiveness.
  • Create and manage the communication strategy for promoting and highlighting key training processes and activities across the network.
  • Partner with internal peers and stakeholders to develop standardization, where applicable, across multiple management and leadership programs.
  • Create innovative training solutions that are utilized in multiple geographies and languages.
  • Analyze and solve business problems with focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities
  • Work strategically with functional and regional L&D teams to identify innovative learning solutions to localize training programs and work toward reducing duplication of effort.
  • Drive adherence to standard learning solutions as well as getting feedback from the operational teams on areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Develop and implement project management templates, processes and best practices

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business, Financial Services, HR, Training, or related field. CIPD desirable but not mandatory.
  • Several years in an L&D environment
  • Proven experience in the executions of Learning & Development operations
  • Experience in managing a learning and development team
  • Specific skills and experience relating to the diagnosis, design, implementation, and facilitation of L&D interventions, e.g. end to end development of bespoke training programs linked to organizational strategies.
  • Outstanding skills in stakeholder management, proven ability in building and managing relationships.
  • Ability to deliver measurable results in a fast-changing environment and within agreed timelines under time pressure
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment skills in interpreting data.
  • Proactively seeks feedback and input; actively listens to others
  • Ability to work with global teams and stakeholders across regions
  • Passion for problem-solving and comfort with ambiguity.
