Payment Product and Engineering (PPE) is responsible for managing the global products and partnerships that enable the movement of funds into and out of the PayPal system. At this time, PPE is seeking a senior manager, product management to help support PayPal’s rapidly evolving global business.

This position will be cross-functional in scope and will focus on:

  • Enabling “open banking” products with the focus of collection of customers’ financial data for the purpose of risk management and better customer experience
  • Innovating / new product development based on “open banking” capabilities
  • Work directly with the business, understanding the developments and players in the “open banking” space globally
  • Responsible for meeting KPIs attached to the “open banking” suits of products
  • Hands on, flexible product manager with the ability to work across multiple teams, detailed oriented while considering the bigger picture and long-term strategy
  • Support all aspects of product management, with an ownership mindset and consistent delivery on commitments
  • Engaging closely with the engineering team, applying agile methodology, to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule

Required Skills

  • 10+ years’ experience in product management
  • 5+ years of experience in the payments industry
  • Experience working across multiple, cross functional global teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively and diplomatically
  • Experience in working with product, design, engineering and other key stakeholders necessary for software development
  • Ability to grasp business requirements and have the ability to optimize overall operations to achieve business goals efficiently and in a timely manner
  • Ability to work with broader leadership team to provide readouts and set expectations
  • Ability to quickly operationalize new ideas and drive change across the broader organization
  • Experience in executing various aspects of product management, from industry best practices and customer requirements assessment to product design to process optimization
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience in process improvement through the use of data driven analysis
