We are seeking an experienced Lead Product Manager who is passionate about building high performing teams to solve customer problems and create experiences that are elegant and effective. You will own, drive and create world-class customer experiences on our external and internal facing platforms. You are customer-centric, strategic, highly analytical and laser focused on executing at scale. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally with engineering, architecture and business teams to build a shared vision, collaborate in a positive, product and transparent way to deliver results for Customer Success. In this capacity, you will lead a team of product managers, train, coach and manage performance.

Responsibilities

  • Think strategically and creatively to gather product and customer insights and help define the Product Vision and Strategy.  Understand PayPal’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in class
  • Lead a team of senior product owners and managers, guiding them to develop and expand roadmaps to create a best in class product suite for supporting PayPal’s customers and Contact Centers.
  • Create a deep understanding of our Customers. Analyze current customer experiences to define friction points and create seamless and effortless experiences
  • Develop a product roadmap and work with cross-functional teams in the Online/Digital and Messaging space  (business, program managers, product, development, UX, analytics) to execute the roadmap
  • Define detailed product requirements, scope, ship, and measure features, and use rapid cycles to iterate and learn
  • Drive product development to build end to end solutions with a team of world-class engineers and designers. 
  • Build trust and effective relationships with stakeholders/executives/peers/cross-functional teams and provide leadership across the product, group and division
  • Work with Analytics partners to evaluate platform performance, business needs, and develop strategies to address customer pain points.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of Product Management with a focus on internet/digital products and technologies
  • 4+ years managing a team (including experience coaching, setting expectations, hiring, performance management, etc.)
  • Problem framing – you can cut through the noise and laser focus on what really matters
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative methodologies to understand customers, ability to explore and structure customers’ insights
  • Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology. Detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution
  • Mastery of technical concepts and system-design, ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Team player; ability to interface and build relations at all levels

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing customer facing products, technologies and platforms
  • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Strong technical leadership, project management, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer stakeholder groups
  • BA/BS
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL/MySQL
