Core Data Platform (CDP) forms an integral part of CPI that manages Data Platforms powering over 150PB of data. Our mission is to enable our community of Data scientists, analysts and developers to derive faster insights and reduce TTM fueling PP growth.

We are looking for a Lead product manager, who is passionate about delivering quality solutions, excited about constantly interacting with his/her customer base, and inspired by the opportunity to build a platform. The PM constantly seeks opportunities to improve our offering: placing emphasis on quality, delivering delightful customer experiences, with right set of capabilities to meet PayPal needs.

The Lead Product Manager will be responsible for:

  • Driving product strategy and creating capabilities that application teams can leverage to have a direct impact on PayPal end user experience
  • Managing and mentoring a team of product managers in order to achieve individual and team goals
  • Working cross-functionally (with global BUs, engineering, and design) and developing strong relationships that help build trust with key partner teams.
  • Evangelizing product roadmap internally and externally in informal and formal settings
  • Running lean experiments to inform future investment areas

Qualifications: 

  • Experience driving strategy for infrastructure products in a top tech or payments company 
  • Proven experience working in an agile environment in a Product Owner role.
  • Experience in building cloud scale services and a deep understanding of distributed systems
  • Passion to seek an in-depth understanding of customer needs and turn that insight into a compelling vision and strategy for the product area
  • Strong execution and ability to drive work to completion
  • Experience in working with open source technologies
  • BA/BS in CS required
