As the Lead Product Manager, you will shape how SMBs manage and grow their business with PayPal as their strategic partner. We are looking for a product leader with experience in payments and creating innovative multi-channel experiences for sellers.  We look forward to qualified candidates to effectively demonstrate the following skills:

  • Understand the needs of SMBs, internal constituents and develop a practical path to achieving the product’s goals
  • Create product roadmap, evangelize roadmap to partners, monitor roadmap implementation progress, and deliver roadmap

Strong collaborator. Lead collaboration across the organization and partner to ensure alignment with related goto-market activities

  • Influence and evangelize to the larger organization to drive with a sense of urgency and solve problems
  • Work with colleagues across multiple functions to clarify the vision and articulate plans to deliver
  • Conduct roadmap review sessions to ensure that the cross functional plans are in line with the product roadmap
  • Conduct reviews with key partners and customers on progress and plans

Technical competence. Be able to partner with engineering to understand the technical implications of what is needed, alternatives available and path to scale and reuse.

  • Determine the technical implications of what you are building, propose alternatives, challenge the scalability and reusability
  • Make tradeoffs between new feature and tech debt development
  • Document use cases and detailed user stories to articulate desired product features and functionality to technical, user experience & design, and other cross-functional teams
  • Monitor impact of product features on revenue conversion, merchant engagement, and other key metrics


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management
  • Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong business acumen along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in SMB, payments industry, and shopping platforms is a plus
