PayPal is seeking a global website analytics lead who can lead the reporting, custom analysis, and stakeholder management of website content marketers. A critical context for these efforts is Google Analytics which provides substantial but standardized reporting. Your mission will be to route web analytics requests to the proper Google Analytics reporting solutions where possible and gather requirements for augmented custom reporting where needed, while organizing special deep dive analysis where unique insights are needed. This role will take responsibility for coordinating the rollup of the incremental lift in business results from experimentation and SEO into the global marketing ROI.

What You Will Do:

  • Time expectations: 40% stakeholder management, 40% reporting/analysis design, and 20% team management
  • Partner with global marketers seeking to understand the influence of website investments on business outcomes
  • Participate in the evolution of PayPal website architecture and represent analytics in how we will handle the measurement of its evolution
  • Collaborate with Website Experimentation team on how to best summarize the benefits of successful test/control website experiments and their contribution to overall marketing ROI
  • Socialize reporting solution rollout globally and coach the successful use of these reports to guide site improvement
  • Mentor analyst evolution on reporting, visualization, and stakeholder management

What We Absolutely Need:

  • A champion for the emerging Website Analytics function who can socialize the use of both platform reporting within Google Analytics but also sell the internally developed reports for more specialized use cases
  • Has experience working with an analyzing raw website log-level data
  • An analyst mind who can architect the structure for global reporting packages which answer new and existing business questions in a globally scalable way
  • SQL and Tableau advanced skills with the ability to get into Python and other visualization packages like Looker and QlikView as needed
  • Has experience delegating analytics projects to junior analysts and coaching them towards quality project outcomes

Nice-to-have Qualities:

  • You can explain last-touch attribution vs multi-touch attribution, you have used or delivered marketing mix model programs, could execute RFM analysis, have evaluated impression frequency distributions or similar analyses
  • You have experience working with CRM marketing, retargeting, list marketing, impression/email personalization

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

  • MBA, Quant MA/MS, Strategy or Operations Consulting, or significant analytics track record required
  • Experience in Ad-Tech (in-house or agency) or consulting (BCG, Bain, McKinsey, big 4) is a strong plus
  • Evidence of matrixed organization with many functional areas is desirable
