PayPal's Credit Risk Organization is responsible for managing the risk throughout the life-cycle of PayPal's credit products. This is a rapidly growing organization where the contributions by the team members can immediately impact PayPal's bottom line and create experiences that our customers love. The new credit risk end-to-end team in Tel Aviv develops new ways to leverage PayPal’s big data and will come up with innovative credit risk management strategies. The ideal candidates are problem solvers, equipped with strong analytical skills suited to approach varied challenges in complex environments. A deep desire to make an impact in a new domain and the ability to both understand and influence PayPal’s business objectives.

In your role as a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will:

  • Deliver decision strategies
  • Develop data-driven decision strategies to support the business’ global financial goals
  • Utilize bottom up, story based, innovative techniques to apply analytical know how onto PayPal’s credit risk strategies
  • Support new credit products
  • Guide the development of cutting edge credit products, adding those to PayPal’s suite of consumer and merchant products
  • Work to achieve loss targets while maximizing approval rates and loan origination
  • Work with regional BUs, credit product and platform team to develop scalable products
  • Drive End-to-End processes in the Risk organization
  • Manage long-term processes from start to finish
  • Measure performance against KPIs and goals
  • Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and peers across the credit organization and PayPal teams

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in one of the following: economics, finance, engineering, exact sciences, etc.
  • 5+ years work experience in relevant positions (e.g. Data analyst, statistician, data scientist, FP&A, product/process manager, risk management, army intelligence units)
  • Proven analytical skills- a minimum score of 700 on the psychometric test (or an equivalent) or 85 grade average from university in a quantitative field
  • Excellent spoken and written English – a must
  • Experience in the credit / lending domain – an advantage
  • Technical orientation (Experience with programming/scripting language / SQL – an advantage)
  • Quick-thinker, fast learner, wide general knowledge, problem solver
  • Foreign languages – an advantage
