As Lead Content Strategist for India, you’ll be a key driver of the product content strategy for India and other emerging markets. You’ll become an expert in our voice and tone and product experiences for the India market and an expert in developing new content strategies for other emerging markets. You’ll be a key partner to global product content designers, UX designers, brand, and marketing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define a clear and actionable strategic direction for India Domestic content initiatives, including UX, email and help, across multiple platforms and formats.
  • Work with Brand, Marketing, and Business stakeholders to ensure full alignment and delivery of content for PayPal’s consumer and merchant experiences.
  • Work with global content designers and UX designers to ensure that the needs of the market are represented in the core product experience.
  • Evangelize for our customers, develop the information they need, determine when and how best to communicate with them, and how to do so with a trusted voice that makes them feel cared for and understood.
  • Use data and customer feedback to measure the effectiveness and of the content strategy and pivot as needed in real time.
  • Audit and evolve the methods, tools, and artifacts used to create, edit, publish, and measure product content.
  • Be an arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, terminology, writing, and style.
  • Reach across disciplines and departments to demonstrate how content can be used to create lasting and meaningful relationships with our customers.


  • Experience writing for multiple channels and platforms, such as websites, apps, email, and social media for at least 6 years. You know how and when to use a particular medium.
  • At least 3 years of experience mentoring or managing writers or writing projects.
  • You see products and solutions as part of a customer’s larger journey and you seek to deeply understand that journey through research and data analysis.
  • You understand brand and marketing methodologies, but your real expertise is using design thinking in service of creating great products.
  • You have a track record of positioning content as an engagement tool that transforms customer relationships.
  • You have a history of knocking down organizational obstacles and building sustaining frameworks and partnerships.
  • Experience in financial services, payments, B2B or B2C e-commerce is preferred.
