The Lead Business Systems Analyst will focus on the delivery of data & analytics focusing on GDPR and overall Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Data Privacy framework for Europe aligned with PayPal bank’s needs and requirements in Luxembourg. He/ She will have strong a business acumen and a world-class leadership around data analysis

What does Success Look Like?  


  • Identifying business needs and defining solutions including data components, relationships, and configurations.
  • Acting as liaison between systems software development staff, management, and system end-users to determine requirements and obtain sign-off.
  • Collaborating with global EDS, Compliance, Privacy & Enterprise Risk teams to ensure alignment on metrics and analytical methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements to technical specification for engineering teams.
  • Defining, designing and developing report and documentation that meet business user needs while meeting defined milestone and deliverables.
  • Working with cross functional business groups, business analyst and engineers from various global teams.
  • Participating in architecture and design discussion. Coordinate with other functional teams on larger and more complex projects.

About you:


  • You have relevant years of experience in Data Warehouse or Business Intelligence technologies and concept.
  • You have experience analyzing very large, complex, multi-dimensional data sets
  • You are fluent in SQL and relational database such as Oracle, Sql Server or Teradata.
  • You are experienced in report analysis and development using business intelligence tools such as Business objects, Microstrategy or Cognos.
  • You have deep understanding of predictive, descriptive and decision modeling; data mining; statistical modeling and testing is a plus
  • You have a background in the financial, mobile or payment industry is preferred.
  • You have the ability to work independently
  • You are motivated self-starter and team oriented.
  • You are comfortable working in complex global business environments, which includes obtaining buy-in from both VP or director-level business managers and IT staff.
  • You must have prior experience with teams located globally.
  • You have MS in MIS, CA or MBA or other relevant Masters degree in a quantitative or numerate discipline such as Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Mathematics required
