The Merchant Insights development team within Enterprise Solutions is responsible for the applications and services that provide actionable rich Insights and recommendations to our US and international customers which will impact overall company performance. As a UI Engineer, you will assist us in building the solutions that will power the next generation of Merchant Insights. The Insights and recommendations we develop is used by merchants to improve revenue as well as target customers.
The Insights team is looking for self-motivated software engineers to join the team and help build low-latency, high-throughput web applications to grow our new platform. The ideal candidate will be a full-stack developer with strong experience in Node.JS with proficiency in HTML/CSS and supporting front-end technologies like ReactJS. Experience in charting libraries like D3 would be a big plus.


Responsibilities

  • Write clean, solid and testable code that scales over millions of customers
  • Make key technical decisions to develop and deliver
  • Design and implementation of highly available and performant applications
  • Effectively collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders including product, big-data teams and design.
  • Build the optimal design and model for the UI. This might include using data to justify the UI prototype being developed
  • Deliver code in an Agile software development using test-driven development methodologies.
  • Participate in development life cycle activities like design, coding, testing and production release.

 Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years total experience delivering enterprise class JavaScript web applications, with at least 3 years working with React.js, Node.js, etc.
  • 3 years of experience building single page applications with popular JS frameworks and libraries (React, Angular, Ember, Babel, Webpack, Underscore, etc.).
  • Experience with test automation: TDD, unit/integration/functional testing.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Sass, Bootstrap, and cross-browser and device development.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts, core JavaScript concepts like scope/closures, the event loop and asynchronous callbacks, promises.
  • Have a passion for quality and writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well.
  • Strong desire to learn, push the envelope, and share knowledge with others.
