Key contributor of content marketing team, leading the social media strategy, execution and management across PayPal existing and future channels, to amplify the PayPal network story, elevate the brand and increase demand for our products. 

The Social Media Marketer's key responsibilities are:
  • Create, implement and manage customer-first, competitive and insightful social media strategies, plans and calendars, across priority International markets.
  • Develop practical community management guidelines and plans across social media platforms for priority International markets.
  • Execute on the above, working with country marketers to localize content and guidelines.
  • Define social media tone of voice and own execution across content and community management, ensuring consistency.
  • Define the role that social media channels play in achieving marketing and business objectives both existing and future.
  • Understand key cultural and calendar moments across International markets which inform a comprehensive yet efficient approach to social media content.
  • Operate in an agile fashion to inform the above approach with urgent news cycle conversations where PayPal has a role to insert itself into the conversation. 
  • Stay on top of category, cultural and emerging trends and share with the wider business.
  • Own and maintain a social library of content.
  • Drive  a culture of executional excellence.

Required skills & experience:

  • 5+ years experience in social media marketing, brand marketing, marketing communications, integrated marketing.
  • Fin-tech, e-commerce and payments understanding and experience highly valued.
  • In depth practical and technical knowledge and understanding of a broad range of social media channels across various markets.
  • Think and act with quantitative foundations that inform marketing activity that leads to well defined business outputs.
  • Experience in social media marketing, community management, content development, channel set up, reporting and analytics. 
  • Experience in partnering across marketing and communications functions and channels.
  • Highly empathetic, great listener and business partner. 
  • Creative writer; can generate ideas that differentiate. 
  • Matches strategy with ability to execute.
  • Differentiates and prioritizes to focus on what is important.
  • Simplifies the complex and operates with efficiency.
  • Strong planning and organization skills.
  • Can operate in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
