International Communications Project Manager role to be based in Singapore

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of International Communications for adaptation of global plans and/or toolkits to ensure the local markets are implementing programs in a consistent way globally, and delivering against our communications strategies and goals.
  • Partner with US-based colleagues to provide the international perspective for projects that cut across non-US markets, including International Speaker’s Bureau
  • Provide guidance to market leads to ensure global consistency including corporate messaging, customer proposition messaging, social content, competitive messaging...
  • Develop and maintain internal reports to inform internal stakeholders of the Comms progress and results internationally. This includes existing reports and templates, but we also want to empower the candidate to suggest new and improved ways of presenting the International Comms work. For example: Look Ahead reporting, global campaign reporting…
  • Provide in market communications support for Singapore and Rapidly Emerging markets when needed.
  • Support our Employee Communications program when needed
  • Support executive communications to Singapore-based regional leaders and visiting leaders to further position PayPal as a thought leader and a frontrunner
  • Provide operational comms support in, but not limited to, the following areas: budget management, contracting, databases etc.
  • Manage APAC Communications agency contracts and relations
  • Ensure validity of contractual relationship with timely renewals of SOWs, COs, MSAs and CASs
  • Partner with local Legal and AP and global FP&A to ensure alignment of processes
  • Ensure APAC-time zone coverage of our Follow-The-Sun process for Reputation Risk Management


Candidate characteristics


This candidate must have the ability to manage media relations across TV, print and online. Strong knowledge of the social media know-how is also highly desirable.

  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in Communications, ideally in a multi-national corporation with high level of change and complexity
  • The candidate should be a strong and agile team player and have proven experience in supporting issues with media.
  • The successful candidate will be a results-driven and solutions-oriented individual, adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This person must be a strong collaborator, and able to drive through the role of communications in an international environment
  • Working independently and effectively as part of a team in a high learning and fast-paced international environment
  • Strong program management, projects and event coordination track record
  • Relevant reporting and presentation capabilities to support this role effectively
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while operating in a matrix, cross-functional team setup
