The Internal Control Partner will be responsible for ongoing development and enhancement of control processes for the International Consumer Credit Programme and provide ongoing monitoring and governance oversight of the internal control framework. This person should be a trusted relationship builder and partner to the functional teams, who can interact successfully at all levels across the organisation to influence and drive key decisions.

What does Success Look Like?  

  • Ongoing maintenance and improvement of end to end business processes and corresponding controls on behalf of the International Consumer Credit Team. 
  • Monitoring internal control environment using Key Risk Indicators as set out by the Business and periodic reviews of key processes to ensure control effectiveness.
  • Overseeing execution of the FLOD Testing and Monitoring Programme. 
  • Ensuring the Identification, documentation, and remediation of risk and issues in a timely manner.
  • Working with cross-functional support areas to remediate gaps in  processes by conducting risk assessments.
  • Supporting and overseeing change management protocols as they are rolled out for products, initiatives, processes and regulations.
  • Act as a main POC on behalf of the International Consumer Credit team for ERCS and Internal Audit.
  • Prepare communications and presentations for Credit Governance routines  and Lux Bank forums such as Monthly Control Assurance reviews, Monthly Business Reviews and Lux Credit Risk Committee.
  • Chair and document minutes from Monthly Control Assurance meetings.
  • Partner with Control Functions that also provide control oversight – e.g.: Credit Risk, Enterprise Services.

About You  

  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a partnership oriented attitude and mindset.
  • Ability to acquire and retain knowledge quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to approach risk identification / assessment and issues in a quantitative and qualitative manner, and partner with the business to understand their needs, and drive solutions.
  • Strong organisational awareness - able to effect results by maneuvering through appropriate formal and informal organisation channels.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work regionally globally and cross-functionally.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for Credit and/or Financial Services industry.
