A typical day for the Intern – EMEA Merchants Marketing Lifecycle Content Manager will include:

We are looking for a prolific and talented content creator to write and produce various types of downloadable content and blog regularly. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills. Due to the nature of the role to create content in English, this role requires fluency in the English language.
You will be working as part of the EMEA Merchants Marketing lifecycle team. The team is tasked to develop the different marketing programs that help our customers take advantage of the value that PayPal product and solution offer during their on-boarding and engagement phase.
Several of these program rely on engaging helpful conversations with PayPal customers and prospects using content maketing approach. In particular, the successful candidate will be dedicated to creating content targeting individuals engaged in their business creation process.

What does Success Look Like?  

  • Creating and curating relevant content stories for PayPal merchants that are engaged in a business creation process
  • Researching selected topics and interview merchants as needed
  • Proposing and managing the program’s editorial calendar

About You:  

  • You love writing
  • You are engaged in Bachelor or Master’s degree curriculum with a strong emphasis on creative writing in the English language ( e.g. Journalism, Media studies, History, etc.).
  • You have demonstrated experience writing/editing/publishing content specific for the web, in particular blog posts (other examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, templates, etc) and growing a social audience
  • You have an editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it in line with persona and user / buyer journey concepts
  • You are recognized for your flexible writing style to address multiple audiences while maintaining the PayPal brand voice
  • You show a great ability to develop new topics, research, and find a unique spin on existing topics
  • You understand the principles of writing for search engine optimization and the steps of typical content work flows
  • Your spelling and grammar is impeccable
  • You know how to present ideas in a simple, straightforward manner so it appeals to your readers
  • You are a passionate learner since you write about a variety of topics and types of businesses
  • You are digital savvy and have a particular interest in marketing related topics


You Might Also Have:  

  • Degree in relevant subject area – English, Journalism, Creative Writing etc.
  • Knowledge of or interest in the tech industry, or writing tech blogs
  • Prior work experience in a copywriting position.
