Reporting to the Head of Business Operations and the local leaders of the diversity & inclusion (D&I) focused Employee Resource Groups, the position of the Intern, Diversity & Inclusion, Program Management (DEATCH) is responsible for the general program management and support of local initiatives aimed at driving diversity & inclusion within PayPal. The intern will support the team in driving insights, strategic decision making, resource allocation, internal and external communication, and performance monitoring. This is a highly collaborative role, working with international teams throughout the organization to run D&I projects. Everything you do will be focused on creating a culture of openness and sensitivity internally and accelerating our social impact externally.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • As the program manager for D&I initiatives within DEATCH, you’ll oversee and coordinate a list of projects that feed into the goals of our local D&I program.
  • You’ll take on end-to-end ownership over individual projects from idea creation to project closure, enabling you to bring in ideas, connections, and best practices from your D&I experience.
  • You’ll research recent developments and best practices and develop educational content for employees.
  • You’ll support the identification, establishment, and management of relationships across internal groups and external organizations to cultivate a strong network.
  • You’ll prepare updates for relevant audiences, including D&I global leadership and local DEATCH leadership.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree or recently graduated.
  • Undergraduate degree in Diversity & Inclusion, Gender Equality or similar is preferred but not essential.
  • Extensive knowledge and self-driven interest around D&I topics, recent developments and best practices
  • First hands-on work experience in D&I.
  • Personal Leadership: Strong organization & timeline management skills
  • Strong team player, good at building networks and relationships
  • Fluent English and German required

The role will be based in Berlin (Dreilinden office), with work from home as required during COVID times. To be eligible for this opportunity, you must currently reside in Germany and have working rights for a 6 month full time opportunity.
