The Integration Specialist is responsible for actively managing and driving the technology components (product functionality, requirements gathering, integration and high level technical support) during pre-sales and post-sales engagement to clients, PayPal’s Business Development, Merchant Services (MS) and Product/E2E team for domestic and cross border market.

He/she must be comfortable representing leading-edge applications in a complex environment and able to identify and troubleshoot technical issues and ensure Integrations follow best practice guidelines that enhance the consumer experience. The role incumbent will assure client satisfaction, establish and maintain strong relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and the main person to ensure smooth process during the Integration phases.

The role incumbent will also collaborate closely with sales, account and product management and have extensive contact with PayPal’s Global Integration team. This position is based in Hongkong and will support our HKT region (Hongkong, Korea, Taiwan).

The Integration Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

Support Business Development and Merchant Services to drive strategic development and revenue

  • Provide integration consultation (50%), project management (20%), product upsell (20%) and technical support (10%), to Enterprise and SMB (Small Medium Businesses) merchants, shopping carts, and channel partners with PayPal payment solutions across domestic and cross border merchants
  • Assist merchant service team throughout the sales cycle from pre-sales consultation to post-sales performance tracking
  • Introduce best integration practices to both existing and new merchants to improve share-of-checkout and conversion rate
  • Work with merchant service team to mobilize with state-of-the-art mobile solutions
  • Communicate and coordinate product integration among Sales/Account Managers and other internal divisions for new products and existing products
  • Work with merchants to modify existing workflows and optimize checkout experiences
  • Assist in strengthening the domestic market position on different verticals including fashion, travel and ticketing

Support Product Management on strategy and execution

  • Deliver demonstrations of PayPal’s payment solutions
  • Advocate for enhancing the consumer experience
  • Run test scenarios and QA testing for customer integrations and products
  • Prepare presentation material and mock-up as needed
  • Generate innovative ideas on both products and integration practices
  • Align with Braintree team and PayPal global product team on newly invented products to drive domestic strategies


  • Knowledge of at least two of the following areas: Financial Services, Banking, Payments, ecommerce, Internet Portals, ISP/Hosting companies/ Social Networking, online gaming, mobile technology
  • 4-6 years experience or above in web development, integration management, sales engineering and project management. Optional experience in sales, client facing, or product management.
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast paced & results orientated international organizations
  • Languages required: English, Cantonese & Mandarin


  • Technical skills, including:
  • Web application development (PHP, .NET, Java, XML, JSON, REST, etc) required
  • Related enterprise software knowledge (Database, project management, analytics, etc)
  • Social networks and mobile development experience (Facebook, iOS, Android, etc) preferred

  • Organized and analytical with a proven ability for attention to details
  • Confident, outgoing and customer focused personality with a passion for business development
  • Ability to rapidly understand new products and demonstrate adaptive problem solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial and demonstrated ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Professional and engaging communication skills with ability to adjust communication both internal and external audience
