The Global Financial Crimes and Customer Protections (GFC&CP) organization is responsible for detecting and preventing financial crimes, including money laundering and terrorism financing, and requires highly skilled subject matter experts to execute against key initiatives aimed at building a best-in-class financial crimes compliance function. As an Instructional Designer on the GFC&CP Learning Enablement team, your goal is to design and develop dynamic, visually engaging and valuable learning solutions, instructor led and self-directed, to deliver on business strategy. You will consult with the business to identify the best approach for training, and coordinate with project partners to create innovative technology-driven curriculum content. The successful candidate will also partner with GFC&CP Training leadership, collaborate with subject matter experts, and develop learning solutions for varying delivery requirements – eLearning, video, blended learning, instructor-led training, performance support tools, among others.

Position Responsibilities

  • Create training content with a focus on e-learning, engaging modules, presentation materials and achieving a consistent look, feel and global message
  • Collaborate proactively with leaders to understand training needs, goals, and overall effectiveness
  • Enable and execute learning interventions aimed at ensuring that PayPal meets its regulatory reporting obligations as a financial institution.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training by remaining connected to learners, and following up both via surveys and in-person feedback
  • Consult with business partners to design learning solutions based upon audience needs and task analysis that include recommended delivery method, curriculum content, and supporting materials to ensure mastery of learning objectives.
  • Establish relationships with business partners to stay aligned to forecast learning needs and recommend learning solutions.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain instructional design methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent required
  • 3+ years’ related experience or Master’s degree required
  • Experience with eLearning software required (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, etc) required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Creative thinker with the ability to tailor learning to a variety of audiences
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry a plus
  • Industry training-related qualifications preferred
